FNF: Petrifying Plumbers begins when Boyfriend and Girlfriend receive a mysterious Mario game and are pulled into a distorted version of Peach's Castle. Their escape depends on exploring the castle and confronting Buggy, an AI entity capable of possessing characters through a process called Mental Digitalization. The game includes a 2D overworld inspired by Super Mario 64. Boyfriend can run, jump, interact with characters such as Toad and Peach_AI, and enter paintings or doors to access musical encounters.

• Overseer: Face a corrupted Wario in a black-and-white room filled with CRT interference. The tempo rises from 131 to 200 BPM.
• Star Gamble: Confront a gigantic Wario in a dark, platform-filled environment with chase sequences.
• Version Control: Battle BUG_AI disguised as Mario while system sliders interfere with note speed and screen visibility.
• Pesky Plumbers: Enter a Hotel Mario parody presented through an old YouTube-style interface featuring Mario and Luigi.
• Mirrorside: Face Funkin.HX in a red nightmare setting where a mirror encounter develops into a monstrous transformation.

Special Mechanics

FNF: Petrifying Plumbers combines traditional note matching with environmental hazards and visual interference. In Version Control, system sliders can alter scroll speed or introduce glitches, forcing players to adapt their timing and screen reading.

Hurt notes add another layer of danger in Mirrorside and Version Control. Hitting these dangerous notes can sharply reduce health or obstruct visibility, making note recognition as important as accurate timing.
