Set in an endlessly looping office maze, FNF in the Backrooms turns every rap into a battle to stay sane against the darkness. The game revolves around tense musical duels where Boyfriend sings and confronts the fears and hallucinations that cling to him. Will the beat be strong enough to pull him out of this “error of reality”?

Main Characters Overview

The focus of FNF in the Backrooms is Boyfriend, lost in an abandoned office space where identical hallways and cubicles stretch on forever. He gradually falls into a state of inner turmoil and the rap battles become a dialogue with his own crumbling ego. Girlfriend does not appear next to Boyfriend as usual, but is mentioned as someone trying to track him down through layers of anonymous rooms.

• Denial brings a bewildering atmosphere, where Boyfriend tries to deny the reality of his being trapped.
• Anger increases the speed and effect, the lighting becomes harsher, expressing the inner explosion.
• Monochrome pulls everything to a cold gray tone, almost stripping away the color to emphasize the feeling of tiredness and emptiness.

Rhythm Gameplay Guide

Players use the arrow keys or WASD to press in the direction of the falling notes, timing when they hit the judgment line to maintain combos and keep the health bar balanced. The Enter or Space key is used to start, pause, or continue the level when adjusting the break rhythm.
