Blockader

Blockader is a fast-paced 2D roguelite arena shooter where survival depends on movement as much as firepower. Circle a compact lunar battlefield, let your weapons automatically target nearby enemies, and shape a new build between waves as increasingly dangerous hordes close in.
Survive The Lunar Arena
Combat in Blockader removes manual aiming from the equation, leaving you free to concentrate on positioning. Small melee enemies approach from several directions, while ranged Snipers can threaten you from outside the main crowd. Contact and incoming shots cost lives, making open space increasingly valuable as a wave becomes more crowded. Clearing enemies fills the wave meter and eventually opens the next upgrade choice. Later waves introduce greater pressure across eight danger tiers, so simply dealing more damage may not be enough if your character lacks the mobility or durability to escape a closing group.
Build Your Run
More than 100 upgrade cards across four rarities allow different builds to develop during an attempt.
- Extra bullets can increase general offensive coverage.
- Chain lightning can spread damage through groups.
- Poison provides another way to pressure enemies.
- Dragon allies and arrows introduce additional attack options.
- Rerolls let you replace an unsuitable selection when available.
Progress Beyond A Single Run
Stars provide Blockader with a permanent progression layer. They can support Gear upgrades across Offense, Defense, and Utility, as well as character Skill Trees. Six playable characters, Lucky, Byte, Spark, Orbit, Sludge, and Spike, also offer different playstyles, with Lucky available from the beginning.
Controls
- WASD / Arrow Keys: Move around the arena.
- 1–4: Select an upgrade card.
- Space: Reroll the current upgrade choices.
- Tab: Open or close the stats panel.
- Esc: Pause.
The compact arena makes early positioning especially important. Moving before a group fully surrounds you preserves escape routes, while watching the Sniper prevents ranged attacks from catching you during a dodge. This becomes increasingly valuable when later waves combine dense melee pressure with threats arriving from outside your immediate path.
