Virtual Ukulele turns the screen into a playable four-string instrument where you can build chords, strum them, and experiment with your own sounds. Beyond casual melody making, its fretboard editor lets you change finger positions and explore several chord types without needing a physical ukulele.

Build Chords On The Fretboard

The interface separates playing from chord setup. On the left fretboard, clicking string and fret intersections places black markers that represent finger positions. The central editor includes up and down arrows for changing the selected fret number, while the editor button returns you to the instrument view after making adjustments. The chord menu shown in Virtual Ukulele adds another layer of experimentation. Notes from A through G can be selected and combined with available chord options such as natural, sharp (#), major, minor, 7th, minor 7th, major 7th, sus4, diminished, and dim7.

Strum The Four Strings

Once a chord is prepared, move the mouse across the four strings on the ukulele body to hear it. You can use the instrument freely to:

• Test individual strings before strumming a chord.
• Move fret markers to create different finger positions.
• Switch between available chord types.
• Compare higher or lower fret positions.
• Repeat strums to build simple rhythmic patterns.

Create Your Own Sound

There are no scores or levels directing the session. Virtual Ukulele works as an open-ended music sandbox, so you can change a chord, hear the result immediately, then return to the editor and adjust it again.
